1. Howe Sound Crest Trail — located east of Lions Bay
Two projects are proposed to upgrade two sections of the Howe Sound Crest Trail. (1) Unnecessary Mountain to West Lion. (2) West Lion to Harvey Pass. The B.C. Mountaineering Club is finalizing its partnership agreement with BC Parks to have the authorization to proceed with this work.
The type of work planned is improved signage, trail construction through rock slide areas and rehabilitation of eroded areas.

2. Fitzsimmons Creek Footbridge – east of Whistler
Recreation Sites and Trails BC is fast tracking the approval process for establishing a footbridge across Fitzsimmons Creek just outside the Garibaldi Provincial Park boundary. The footbridge will facilitate better recreational access to Singing Pass and potentially the Spearhead Range.
The Federation of Mountain Clubs is working with Peter Taylor (bridge engineer) and has come up with a bridge design. It is estimated to cost $55,000.

3. Watersprite trail extension, tent area to east col towards Crawford
The B.C. Mountaineering Club has approval to build a trail from Watersprite Lake to the col with Crawford Creek. We are seeking donations to help fund this project.
4. North Creek Cable Car
Permitting is underway in 2021. We expect to begin construction in 2022. We are seeking donations to help fund this project.
5. Lizzie Creek Cabin
The B.C. Mountaineering Club has applied for tenure to a parcel of Crown Land in Lizzie Creek to build a 12-person backcountry hut. The approval process is expected to complete in 2022.
6. Crawford Creek Cabin
The B.C. Mountaineering Club has applied for tenure to a parcel of Crown Land in Crawford Creek to build a 15-person backcountry hut. The approval process is dependent upon the completion of the Pinecone Burke Provincial Park master plan.
